Danielle is the CEO and co-founder of Coconut Cartel, a premium rum brand based in Miami, FL making waves in B-commerce (Booze-commerce; "quasi DTC" liquor brands). Growing up in Guatemala, she developed a passion and taste for the region's unique agricultural goods and premium exports. Danielle initially started the brand by importing fresh coconuts from Central America to Miami's hottest hotel beach resorts and restaurants, garnering the attention of celebrities such as Drake, Martha Stewart, Former Prince Harry...to name just a few. In 2018, Coconut Cartel's product line broke into the spirits category with the launch of a Guatemalan Aged sipping rum cut to "proof" with fresh, locally sourced coconut water. This nutty innovation in rum blending has converted seasoned rum and whiskey drinkers into raving Coconut Cartel fans across the US. Today, at 28 years old, Danielle is one of just a few young women leaders in the liquor industry and hopes to pave a path for more young women in booze.
