Me too - Mel Robbins youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFbo5F1mt50 Suggestions for getting back on a better sleep schedule. - Cut out the caffeine after 3pm - Shut off the phones and tablets two hours before you go to bed - Begin a nightly ritual/routine that will calm your central nervous system - Read before bed Suggestions for getting back to sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night: Use the 5 second rule. Don't just lay there with your thoughts. Count backwards from 5, it draws the focus to the prefrontal cortex which gives you immediate control of what to think of next. Picture in your mind the place you are most excited to go when this coronavirus crisis is over. Visualize it, imagine being there, feeling, smelling, hearing the sounds. Try to transport yourself there. You will feel your anxiety start to lessen and your mind will begin to quiet down. Live It or Waste It suggestions: - Be mindful of your thoughts - Make sure your expectations of this situation are realistic - . - Prepare your mind for a long quarantine, then prepare your life for a long quarantine. Even if it isn't - BUT DON'T HOARD - Plan accordingly. Have a plan for what you are going to do during and after the quarantine. - Create new routines! - Reach out to others. See if they are ok.
